Welcome Mr Flower Crab, you look all ready to be prepared by me! HAHA!

even female crabs are vain – they have painted fingernails!!

The easiest way to tell a female crab from a male is that female crabs usually have ‘painted fingernails’ – that is, the females have red tips on the edges of their front claws. Males crab claws are always blue before they’re cooked

The next easiest way to tell a female crab from a male is by the ‘apron’ on the underneath section of the crab. A male crabs apron looks like an upside down ‘T’ – it looks like it has a long handle to it. The female crab’s apron is wider, more triangular, and has a shorter handle at the end.

Baking a skill

Baking, unlike cooking, requires not just precise measurements and weighing of ingredients but an intimate understanding of ingredients and how they react during the baking process.

Science behind the dish:
An average cake mix is nothing more than a batter that consists of egg proteins, starch granules, gas (air) bubbles, fats and liquids.
As the raw cake mix is heated the gas bubbles begin to expand, the starch granules begin to swell and soak up excess water and the egg proteins begin to unravel into long molecule chains. The cake rises as a result of these reactions.
Once the cake has baked the mix has set into a solid mesh of swollen starch, coagulated proteins and trapped air bubbles.

i thought i studied them

Sensory evaluation

Sensory Evaluation is something  done by food companies for various purposes (Product Matching, New product etc)

All along i find sensory evaluation very fun as I can get to eat and drink.

And also act like a pro to see if i can taste any difference in the samples i am tasting

Well, i will definitely have sensory evaluation in my lessons next time.

especially Hedonics test for drinks (eg Pepsi and Coca Cola)

Hedonics test is to decide if you like or do not like the product

I will be such a confused panelist if i am asked to choose between Pepsi and coca cola.
